Ahmed Ololade, known professionally as Asake, was born on January 13, 1995, in Lagos, Southwest Nigeria. He is the son of Muslim parents who hail from the south-western part of Nigeria, with his father being a Lagos-based businessman and his mother working as a teacher. Asake studied dramatic arts at Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria.
Asake Career
Asake started his music career in high school as a dancer, drummer and a member of his high school’s musical band. He later started performing as a backup for skit-maker and entertainer, Broda Shaggi.
In 2019, Asake and Broda Shaggi collaborated on the song “Star,” and he gained recognition in 2022 after the release of “Lady,” produced by Blaque Beats. He was later signed to Olamide’s YBNL Nation in February 2022 and released his debut EP “Ololade” that same year.
In July 2022, Asake signed a distribution deal with Empire, followed by the release of his debut studio album “Mr. Money With The Vibe” in September 2022.
