The hotel, situated in Ile-Ife’s Parakin neighborhood, has hosted several notable Nigerians who have traveled to the Yoruba heartland.
Chains of companies and investments in Ile-Ife, Lagos, Abuja, and the United States of America are to his tracks. When he graduated from the university in the 1980s, and all of his friends were vying for white-collar positions in the corridors of power, he felt compelled to start the Universal Tutorial College, Ile-Ife. One of the tertiary institutions in Nigeria with the fastest growth is the Polytechnic, Ile-Ife (formerly Universal College of Technology), which offers courses in accounting, business administration, computer science, electrical and electronic engineering, computer engineering, mass communication, statistics, catering and hotel management at both the national diploma and higher national diploma levels.
Chief Adedoyin has enormously contributed to the Ile-Ife community’s and society’s growth in community development. He is an extraordinary philanthropist who has given scholarships and honors to deserving students, particularly those from impoverished backgrounds. Additionally, he has generously donated to charitable causes, greatly advancing moral principles and the dignity of life. He is a strong advocate for justice, peace, and fairness. He is also a tremendous defender of humanity.
Raymond tried unsuccessfully to succeed Ooni of Ife. He called it a divine intervention. Due to his recently published ewi (poetry), the current Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, suspended him from being the Maye of Ife in 2018. The monarch claimed the poem was written to mock the Ooni’s throne.
