Francis Leblanc, better known by his stage name Fridayy, is a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-born American singer, rapper, and record producer who is now signed to Def Jam Recordings. He is well-known for his contributions to the songs “Forever” by Lil Baby and the album’s lead single, “God Did,” by DJ Khaled, which peaked at positions 8 and 17, respectively, on the Billboard Hot 100. The latter song earned him three Grammy Awards nominations.

Early life

At six, Leblanc began learning to play the guitar, bass, and piano. He attributes his love of music to his experiences in the church sanctuary, where his father is a minister. Leblanc reveals on his Twitter page and in the remix of his song “Blessings” that he is of Haitian descent.

Career

Together with his cousin Leo, Fridayy produced his debut tune in 2014. He received producer credit for Chris Brown’s album Breezy in June 2022. Fridayy’s debut song, “Don’t Give Up On Me,” was released in October 2022. He also appeared on Lil Baby’s It Was Only Me album in October 2022. The song “Forever” ranks top on the Billboard Hot 100 at number eight. His debut EP Lost in Melody, was released again in October 2022, this time featuring only Vory as a guest. As a featured artist on DJ Khaled’s song “God Did” in November 2022, Friday garnered three Grammy Award nominations for the 65th Annual Grammy Awards in 2023.
