BNXN, formally known professionally as Buju, real name Daniel Benson (Born: 14 May, 1997, Age: 25 years old) is a Nigerian Afro-fusion singer and songwriter who was formally signed to Spaceship Record (a Nigeria based record label founded by Burna Boy) and is now signed under To Your Ears Entertainment and under the management of Orb-Bayarn Entertainment Management owned by Abifade Tomide (also known as Bayarn). Bnxn came into limelight after his song ‘Lenu’ with Burna Boy went viral while he was still signed under his record label. BNXN emerged as the winner of ‘Next Rated Artiste’ at the 15th Headies Award and sold out the iconic Indigo O2 in London on November 26, 2022. He has worked with several big artistes like Ed Sheeran, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Olamide.

BNXN Biography
BNXN, whose real name is Daniel Benson, is a famous Nigerian musician and songwriter who has collaborated with artistes like Wizkid, Olamide, Burna Boy, Phleez, Timaya, Blaqbonez, Dave, Ed Sheeran (Wrote Edsheeran’s F64). BNXN’s unique specialty with features has earned him a lot of love and respect from the bigger artistes in the industry which earned him a nickname on Twitter ‘Industry baby’. His unique voice and songwriting skill has helped him rise to prominence in Nigeria’s music stage and he has gained a lot of fans across Africa and the abroad.
BNXN hails from Akwa Ibom, Nigeria and was born in Lagos, Nigeria. He grew up in Gbagada with his mother after which he relocated to Mowe, Ogun State, he lost his mother at an early age to cancer after a long time battle with the deadly disease. As at his junior secondary school time, he called himself Drizzle but later changed it to Buju (a name of Jamaican origin which mother calls their chubby wards), BNXN chose this name because of body weight.
He attended the prestigious both primary and secondary school in Lagos and proceeded to Babcock University for his degree in Theatre Arts.
BNXN Career
BNXN began composing music when he was in junior secondary; he used to go a stage name Drizzle but later adopted another stage name Buju. He began with rapping and eventually joined the choir. At valendictory services, he started out solo, and over time, he brought his talent to Babcock University.
BNXN released his first song Catch a Vibe in February 2018. Burna Boy has been a great inspiration to BNXN right from time till he met him and collaborated with him on the remix of Lenu and on April 16, 2020, Burna Boy’s Spaceship Record label announced the signing of BNXN, a contract that lasted for a year and seven months, BNXN announced he was not going to extend his contract with Spaceship Record on November 2021 and confirmed that it was with Burna Boy’s approval.

BNXN is currently single after the controversy with his alleged Swedish girlfriend Filma Jones. According to Jones, the Afro-fusion star impregnated her and dumped her, this went far to sharing a video of BNXN stark naked.
