Former American football wide receiver Daniel James Amendola, born November 2, 1985, is now a coaching assistant and returners coach with the Las Vegas Raiders. At Texas Tech, he played collegiate football. In 2008, the Dallas Cowboys signed him as an undrafted free agent.
Before being signed by the St. Louis Rams, Amendola spent part of the 2009 season on the practice squad of the Philadelphia Eagles after beginning his career on the Cowboys’ practice squad. He started his career as an active player spanning four seasons with the Rams. He played for the New England Patriots for the following five seasons, making three Super Bowl appearances and taking home two championships.
He then had stints with the Miami Dolphins, Detroit Lions, and Houston Texans over the final four seasons of his career.
