He spent his entire childhood in the Lagos suburb of Surulere. After losing his mother at an early age, he was raised by his father and grandmother. He started leading the children’s chorus at his church when he was only ten years old. Oxlade is single right now. He has said that before he became famous, he broke up with a girl he was in love with. It looks like he was seeing her when her boyfriend wasn’t around. He said, “We knew it was going to crash, but we were still very hopeful.” She had a boyfriend, and you know how the best things are the ones that are against the rules? I’ll tell you this, my brother: they are the best. It was more of a situationship, but I put time and effort into it.
