Pastor Sam Adeyemi Biography, Career, Family and Achievements

Pastor Sam Adeyemi is a Nigerian pastor, author, and motivational speaker. He is the founder and Senior Pastor of the Daystar Christian Centre, Lagos, Nigeria. Adeyemi was born on February 3, 1967, in Ndayako, close to Mokwa, Niger State, Nigeria. He hails from Odo-Ere, Yagba, Kogi State, Nigeria, where he spent the first 10 years of his life. Sam has a younger brother, Victor Adeyemi, who is also a Pastor.

Adeyemi obtained his Higher National Diploma (HND) in Civil Engineering at the Kwara State Polytechnic. Later on, he went to the University of Exeter, United Kingdom, where he studied Leadership Studies and graduated with an MSc degree in 2011. After that, he obtained a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership from Regent University, Virginia, USA, in 2017. Adeyemi is married to Nike Adeyemi, and they are blessed with three children.

BIOGRAPHY

Sam Adeyemi was raised in a Christian family, and he was actively involved in church activities from an early age. After obtaining his HND, Adeyemi started his pastoral ministry at Rhema Chapel, where he served as the Director of Pastoral Care and Minister in Charge before he was transferred to a branch in Lagos.

However, Adeyemi felt that his ministry was stagnating in Lagos, so in April 1994, he decided to embark on a prayer and fasting program with his wife. In July 1994, he received a clear instruction from God to move to the next level of ministry, where he would be a teacher of biblical success principles. Adeyemi would reach his audience via radio, television, tapes, publications, and seminars, and he would establish a church that would help people discover and release their potentials. Adeyemi got the vision for Success Power International and Daystar Christian Center on the same day.

He started teaching on the radio and, shortly after, on November 18, 1995, he established the Daystar Christian Centre, where he currently serves as the Senior Pastor. Daystar Christian Centre is a fast-growing, life-changing church based in Lagos State, Nigeria. The church has grown from a handful of people to a congregation of over 10,000 people.

CAREER IN MINISTRY

In 1995, Adeyemi founded Success Power International, a non-governmental organization that specializes in organizing leadership, financial, and motivational seminars. The primary aim of the program is to help people realize their life purpose by imparting them with the knowledge they need to discover, develop, release, and maximize their hidden potentials. Success Power reaches out to people through telecast, radio broadcast, seminars, audio, video materials, and books.

In January 2002, Adeyemi founded the Daystar Leadership Academy, a non-profit Leadership and Management Development School with the vision to raise exceptional leaders and managers that would transform the world. The Academy offers various courses such as Basic Certificated Course in Leadership, Weekend Leadership Certificate Course (Basic and Advanced), Executive Leadership course (Basic and Advanced), and Basic Leadership Course for Teenagers. Over 20,000 students have graduated from the academy since its inception.

Adeyemi is a renowned motivational speaker and has spoken on various platforms across the globe. He has authored several books, including “Parable of Dollars,” “Ideas Rule the World,” and “Start with What You Have.” His books have been translated into several languages and have sold millions of copies worldwide.
