Starboy Terri, whose real name is Terry Daniel Akinre, was born on May 27, 1999, in Ifako-Ijaye, Lagos State. He is a young and talented Nigerian Afrobeat singer and composer signed to Wizkid’s “Starboy Records.”
Terri grew up in Lagos State, where he had his primary and secondary schooling before joining the University of Lagos in 2017 for his degree in Marine Insurance. He is the first child in a family of four.
In an interview, Terri mentioned that his three younger siblings look up to him, which is both pressure and inspiration for him.
He released his EP without any other artist features to prove his capability. Critics claim that Wizkid isn’t doing much to promote Terri, but the young musician is gradually gaining relevance in the industry.

Terri started his music career at the age of 17 under the stage name Stoned Teezy, and he produced a five-track extended play project called “Outchea.”
In 2018, he featured Wizkid on a rendition of DJ Jimmy Jatt’s “Oshe,” which caught Wizkid’s attention and landed him on his record label, “Starboy,” in February 2018.
